Position Summary
The Inventory Records Control (IRC) Associate uses the ERP system and reporting to maintain an accurate record of physical inventory.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
- Review and reconcile negative item reports and pick exception reports.
- Reconcile variances regarding branch to branch transfers.
- Review scrap wire reports to ensure proper amounts are recorded.
- Review and work shelf life reports.
- Perform cycle counts as needed.
- Factory Returns
- Freight Claims
Additional Responsibilities
- Prepare ticket pulling charts.
- Actively participate in and contribute to Mayer’s Continuous Quality Improvement efforts.
- Complete assigned training in a timely manner.
- May participate in or assist with physical inventory preparation or process.
- Demonstrate commitment to Mayer’s core values and vision to be First Choice with our suppliers, customers, and associates.
- Complete all other appropriate tasks or duties assigned by supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to read and write with basic math skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced understanding of warehouse procedures.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office/Office 365 and ERP systems.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of inventory records control experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Some college preferred
- Two plus years of experience in the electrical distribution or manufacturing
Other
Work Environment:
- The IRC Associate works in a both a warehouse environment and an office environment.
- The associate may be exposed to fumes, odors, and/or dust.
- Temperatures in the warehouse environment may vary between cold and hot depending upon the season.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk throughout warehouse and access storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, bending, and reaching.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs., and push and pull up to 300 lbs.
Travel Requirements:
Overnight travel may be required on occasion to attend training.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
