We are looking to hire a Maintenance Lead in Houston, TX

This is just a high-level overview of the role we need you to fill for us

• 
  Ensure the application of all safety rules, ensuring that plant personnel and contractors are aware of and employing safe working practices and promoting safety programs and behaviors
• Ensure adherence and sustainability of the maintenance execution processes within the plant including notification, prioritization, planning, scheduling, execution, and feedback
• Lead the development and implementation of maintenance strategies and implementation of reliability strategies
  • Implement and maintain plant PM program
  • Establish and maintain critical spare parts inventory
• Manage the site maintenance budget
• Lead the development of plant maintenance and reliability goals by driving implementation, monitoring effectiveness, and taking necessary actions to achieve committed results
• Ensure first-time repair quality in an accurate, efficient and effective manner
• Support autonomous maintenance activities of area’s production personnel
• Act as the primary point of contact for any maintenance or capital project activity within the site
• Assist in identifying capital project opportunities.
• Help guide the prioritization of the projects from a unit/ business/ site perspective to maximize benefit
• Supply resources, as needed, for scope development and execution of capital projects
• Ensure the use of LEAN manufacturing tools to identify waste and drive continuous improvement
• Provide communication on status of maintenance and project activities to appropriate stakeholders via oral and written communications where and when appropriate
• Recognize the need for and acquire outside specialty services contractors when needed
• Participate in site action item/incident/MOC and capital status meetings to ensure maintenance work is prioritized and meets the timing requirements of the site
• Assist in the timely execution of emergency or critical priority jobs
• Provide troubleshooting support for the Dry and Polymer plants

• 
  Lead the Research & Development team on developmental projects with day-to-day guidance and mentoring on team activities.
• Manage performance management processes to include goal setting, mid-year reviews, on-going feedback, and annual performance evaluations adhering to corporate processes and deadlines.
• Assign projects based on business priorities to R&D team members including both internal and external technical requests.
• Project Manage regional developmental projects through stage-gate process meeting established targets and timelines.
• Manage technical issues from QC, manufacturing, field, procurement in a timely fashion and report the outcomes with stakeholders.
• Attend and actively participate in industry meetings, code committees, and events.
• Attend regional meetings and work with global Innovation teams to implement technologies for NA region
• Assure standards of safety, environmental, team and individual performance are met in a high-performance team-based organization
• Identify gaps and bring talents and capabilities to the group to support growth strategy for the business.

Roles and Responsibilities

• 
  Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and the facility in a timely and efficient manner.
• Troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues.
• Must be able to work alone, when necessary, in completing maintenance work and be able to work from written instructions.
• Must know how to use hand tools, power tools, cutting and burning equipment, welding equipment and operate material handling equipment.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and electronic logs in an accurate and timely manner.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Follow all appropriate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies.
• Wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure that prescribed safeguards are properly used. Able to safety work with and around chemicals (i.e., solvents). Qualify to wear a respirator, both half and full face. Arrive for shift/work clean shaven.
