Description/Job Summary

SUMMARY

Performs shipping and receiving tasks and assists with tasks in the parts warehouse.

Responsibilities/Duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Place daily parts orders
  • Stock and post incoming orders
  • Assist Parts Manager in processing weekly stock orders
  • Update electronic parts files
  • Provide necessary information to the warranty department to allow prompt filing of parts warranties
  • Return parts as needed and remove from inventory after credit is received
  • Assist in preparing for and performing annual part
    s inventory
  • Crate all cores for shipment
  • Performs additional duties as assigned. 

Required Skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS


Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and situations to clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS


Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


REASONING ABILITY


Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


Required Experience

One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
