Job Summary
Maintains adequate level of batter and beading in feed hoppers, ensuring the proper ingredients are used on each line, accurately record usage and inspect ingredients for insects and / or foreign material.
Job Functions
Essential Functions :
- Picks up ingredients from pallet and hand truck then places ingredients into feed hopper or opens bins, transfers ingredients from one hopper to another and aligns ingredients to correct feed hoppers.
- Removes ingredients from bags, by cutting the top of bag, then removing the outer layer and dumping ingredients into feed hopper.
- Inspects ingredients for damage and conformity to specifications.
- Uses powered hand jack to push pallets of ingredients between feed hoppers.
- Records accurate usage of ingredients by listing manufacturing date code, starting inventory and ending inventory.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Maintains work area in a clean and sanitary condition.
- Strictly adheres to all company and plant policies concerning safety, performing proper Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures, using proper lifting techniques, wearing effectively all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, proper walking / stepping and all other safety procedure related to your duties.
- Adheres to all company and plant polices related to GMP’s, safety and work rules and procedures.
- Regular and consistent attendance is essential for meeting performance expectations of the position.
- Other dutiesas assigned by Shift Supervisor.

Preferred :

- Previous industrial fork truck operator’s license and hand truck experience.
