The position:
This role requires individuals to properly package and label lime products. The individual must maintain a clean and workable workspace, operate a forklift to move pallets into place, and use computers to load materials.
Baggers are responsible for maintaining a high level of safety participation, personal ownership, and accountability in all areas, including but not limited to lockout / tag-out / try, workplace inspections, mitigation,
Additional duties and abilities include:
- Comply with all safety rules and standard safety practices.
- Operate a forklift and bagging equipment while following safety precautions and standards.
- Attach the bag on overhead clips.
- Utilize a computer to dispense the correct amount of material.
- Adjust the bags as the material is loading to ensure proper alignment with the pallet.
- Use spray paint to label bags.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as changing tanks and greasing/oiling.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be 18 years or over.
- Physically fit with the ability and willingness to work 12-hour shifts.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, with excellent communication skills.
- Be able to think on your feet and troubleshoot/problem solve.
- Mechanical experience is an asset.
- Pre-employment drug screening and physical required.
