NEUROLOGIC MUSIC THERAPIST
(Employee - Full Time) - Adult Rehabilitation
Location: Sacramento, CA & Roseville, CA
Posting Date: 5/31/22– Open until filled.
Start Date: Immediately
Setting: Sutter Rehabilitation Institute, Roseville, CA (inpatient) & Sutter Neuroscience Institute, Sacramento, CA (outpatient) - 2 days at each location.
Hours: 32 hours per week - 4 (8 hr) days - Must be able to work a Wednesday through Saturday schedule.
Rate: Starting at $35-40/hour depending on experience.
McConnell Music Therapy Services, Inc. is a well-established private music therapy agency based in Auburn, CA serving the greater Sacramento area since 2002. We serve diverse clients of all ages within hospital systems, mental health facilities, school districts and private homes. There are opportunities for growth and expansion to other settings.

General Requirements:
- Current Music Therapy credential (MT-BC). cbmt.org
- Masters Degree Preferred but not required.
- Advanced Training in Neurologic Music Therapy
- Experience working as a Neurologic Music Therapist in adult rehabilitation setting.
- 2 years employment experience as an MT-BC preferred.
- Strong clinical musicianship (guitar/piano/voice) – comfortable with improvisation and songwriting and a variety of repertoire.
- Current CPR and TB
- Proof of Vaccination (Covid-19, flu, varicella, Hep B, Tdap, MMR)
- Technical skills – Epic EHR system; Google Workspace; Microsoft Office
- Able to pass CA Dept. of Justice/FBI background check, basic health and drug screen.
- Physical requirements: carrying equipment, sight, mobility, sitting/standing.
