Job Description:
This person is responsible for conducting the Quality Control testing that ensures production specifications are achieved. Skills will be acquired through on the job training, review of SOPs, and working through daily responsibilities and challenges.
Responsibilities:
· Calibrate the metal detectors for production running
· Support the testing of the chemicals for the CIP.
· Collect the samples of finish products. Take samples of raw materials and Finished Product requested by QA manager
· Enforce food safety policies regarding allergens and maintain the procedures in place to avoid cross contamination.
· Maintain a safe working environment and ensure that safety protocols are followed diligently.
· Inform regarding any deviation from specification to your supervisor in a timely manner.
· Conduct the allergen tests (if required) and ATP swabs after cleaning.
· Take samples for the environmental program.
· Participate in inventory and manage moving ingredients to departments.
· Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to facilitate smooth operations, communicate any potential contamination or suspicious activity to the QA manager or plant manager.
· Conduct the pre operation inspection and post operation inspection for commissary kitchen and production.
· Help with administrative tasks: organizing folders, documents, scan, translate documents or other duties as assigned by your manager.
Requirements:
· Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English and Spanish to perform essential duties effectively.
· Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
· Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. continuously and willing to work extended hours, weekends, and shifts as required.
· Familiarity with food safety standards and protocols, with the ability to learn and classify allergens.
· Excellent problem-solving abilities and a high attention to detail.
Job Types: Temp-to-hire, Temporary
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
