This new hire will work in Global HQ , located at 24 Schilling Road, Suite 1 in Hunt Valley, MD . The Regional Buyer II will report to a Senior Director, America's Procurement.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for assigned categories and the development of category strategies and programs to optimize cost, rationalize the supply base and bring value to the Corporation while mitigating risk. Includes coordinating and leading strategy execution activity supporting Direct and/or In direct spend. Provides regional support for globally managed categories.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execution of and establishment of sourcing strategies for assigned regionally managed categories in the Direct and Indirect areas of procurement. Aligning those regional sourcing strategies with business unit strategies and communicating it globally where applicable
Participates on regional business teams; supports the alignment of regional iniatives and strategies to ensure they align with global category strategies
Resolve Level 1 & 2 quality and supply issues; provide support for global category managers in resolving Level 3 issues
Supports global category managers for regional commercialization, Project and CCI activities
Develops and documents in-depth knowledge of markets, supply chain, and suppliers. Assists with make-buy decisions; conducts formal presentations as well as coordinates and conducts supplier reviews
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or applicable field of study
5 years in Purchasing/Supply Chain environment with appropriate business experience
4 yrs project management, execution of or participation in large, multiple or cross-functional projects., Project management/process improvement
2 yrs managing, leading developing dynamic work teams No supervisory responsibility.
Thorough knowledge of industries for assigned categories. Technical awareness in assigned categories.
Sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills

CPM or APICS certification
