What are the responsibilities and job description for the South Orientation Lead position at McDonald's?
Primary Role Purpose:
Provide new hires with a positive and informative first-day experience with PDI Foods, LLC. Orientation leads also ensure all administrative tasks are complete and correct, i.e., employee folder is complete and filed correctly, data is accurately entered into e*HR, etc.
This is a part-time position of an estimated 8 hours per week.
Location
This role is located at our main office in North Branch, MN on Main Street. This is not a position within the restaurant.
Minimum Role Requirements
To deliver a great first-day experience, orientation leads are required to have the following skills:
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and inviting
- Comfortable with technology, i.e., using laptops, setting up projectors, etc.
- Attention to detail; paperwork is completed correctly, and data is entered accurately
- Able to speak in front of a small group
- Dress to impress! Must wear a clean and complete McDonald’s uniform or other professional apparel
Responsibilities and Duties:
Orientation leads are responsible for the following:
Set up equipment for orientation; ensure it is in working order and ready to go
New hire stations are neat and orderly (each “station” must have a pen, orientation bag, the new hire’s W4, and all necessary paperwork)
Be ready to greet each new hire and screen them to ensure they have the proper documents for the I-9
Reschedule orientation for new hires that show up without the proper documents or onboarding is not complete
Utilize the PowerPoint slide show to present all required information in a fun and engaging manner
Either complete or work with an orientation support person to ensure the following is complete:
- I-9s
- Paperwork the Office Manager needs is placed into the basket and, for some documents, emailed directly
- New hire data is entered into e*Hr
- Each new hire receives their name tag, hat or visor, and shirt
- Orientation recap is sent, and necessary data is entered into the orientation tracker
- Employee folders are properly filed
- Put all equipment away
- Complete any final cleaning
Additional Information
Orientations are held at our South Office in North Branch on Mondays and Thursdays, 4 to 6:30 PM.
Orientation leads are expected to arrive at the office no later than 2:00 PM to ensure enough time for setting up.
Orientation leads must be able to work till 7:00 PM, as orientation or clean-up can run later than 6:30 PM.
