Description
McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for Receptionist for its Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.
Responsibilities include: Greeting patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner. Checks-in patients, verifies and updates necessary information. Assists patients with ambulatory difficulties. Answer telephone, screen calls, takes messages, and provides necessary information in a calm and professional manner. Uses laboratory information system to check-in patients, release lab test, and place orders presented to the laboratory from healthcare providers that are not associated with McFarland Clinic.
Education
- High School Diploma, GED or HiSET
Days: Varied shifts include Monday - Friday
Hours: Varied shifts M-F 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM / 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Experience
- McFarland Clinic experience preferred.
- Prefer one year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
- Completion of Medical Terminology class required within one year of employment.
- Keyboard and computer experience.
