Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Paralegal with McIntyre Elder Law, you'll be at the forefront of supporting our attorneys and ensuring the success of our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to our attorneys.
- Managing client communication with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Drafting pleadings, correspondence, and notes to facilitate effective client-attorney communication.
- Conducting thorough case law and statutory research and assisting in drafting complex pleadings.
- Coordinating attorney calendars, agendas, and deadlines with precision.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of client information and documents.
- Assisting in meeting preparation and managing logistics.
- Filing pleadings and ensuring proper service of legal documents.
- Collaborating with various departments within our litigation practice.
Qualities We’re Seeking:
We're looking for a Litigation Paralegal who embodies the following qualities:
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with proficiency in billable hour tracking.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels.
- A team player with a professional demeanor and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Previous experience in elder law and guardianship is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in civil litigation with a substantial case load.
- Proficiency in legal case law and statutory research, drafting pleadings, and court hearing preparation.
- Experience with google suite software (google docs, google sheets, google slide, and google drive) is preferred.
- Experience using a Macbook is preferred.
- Experience using Clio manage, Clio grow, and Westlaw is preferred.
