The Manager, FP&A for McKesson Technology will report to the Director, FP&A for McKesson Technology and will have direct responsibility for Project and Total P&L related activities in support of several enterprise technology solutions teams. Job duties include forecasting, ad hoc business analysis, preparation and delivery of presentations to Senior (VP) leaders within McKesson Technology. The Manager will join the Director FP&A in the development and perpetuation of a culture of operational excellence, including the development and continuous improvement of the team’s processes and activities will interact with technology and business unit finance leadership on a frequent basis to ensure the quality, integrity, timeliness and material accuracy of financial reporting and forecasting. Partner with team members across MTO’s larger and geographically diverse FP&A team. The Manager displays technical finance competence, inherent critical thinking and intellectual curiosity, leadership capabilities and excellent communicative abilities to develop internal relationships. Position Description Serve as the FP&A point of contact and support for certain Enterprise IT Solutions. Duties will include provision of financial guidance for cost center management and analysis, capex and opex analysis, and allocations from enterprise wide technology solutions back to the NAFSS (North American Financial Shared Services). Support the Director FP&A in the budgeting, and forecasting of activities for certain enterprise technology solutions and business units’ technology spend Variance analysis against forecast and budgets, and an ability work closely with business partners to analyze actual results and identify trends Periodic financial forecasts Periodic budgets and plans (e.g., long-range plan, AOP, other) Ad hoc analysis (ex: what if analysis) Co-Lead the team’s monthly close and forecasting activities, providing indirect leadership and guidance to the team’s Shared Service partners, and driving or creating the structured activities required to deliver top-quality financial guidance and support Attend business partner team meetings/relationship management Support development of business cases for technology initiatives Lead cross-functional teams, as appropriate, to develop financial business case supporting proposed strategic technology initiatives and special projects, including financial modeling and analysis Develop metrics and analyses to build a disciplined approach to measuring return on investment and free cash flow performance Minimum Requirements 5-7 years of FP&A Critical Skills Combination of FP&A and financial reporting experience Balanced analytical and strategic mindset with a demonstrated ability to manage the intricacies of cost and allocation financial activities, validate and present financial insights Ability to build strong business partnerships and collaborate across multiple Enterprise IT Solutions teams and their associated stakeholders Strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines concurrent with an ability to motivate your teammates and working partners to deliver upon the organization’s objectives with operational excellence Strong ability to identify and eschew activities that do not drive value in support of the finance team’s ongoing pursuit of operational excellence Additional Knowledge & Skills Superior knowledge of financial analysis and building of financial models Intermediate to advanced MS PowerPoint Intermediate to advanced MS Excel Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong executive presence Experience with BPC planning application is preferred, but not required Self-learner and demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity Strong attention to detail Ability to exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results Collaborative, customer-focused and able to create visible value Ability to think things through, and make decisions based upon incomplete information or data Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment Education MBA, or similar advanced degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred Physical Requirements General Office Demands McKesson is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
