The Scientific Data Analyst drives the implementation of complex biomedical data modeling projects. They work on a wide variety of highly detailed scientific and medical data projects related to specific customer implementations as well as core product development. Data quality and availability are at the forefront of this position and the scientific data analyst is expected to maintain a high level of diligence and attention to detail. The position is highly collaborative and requires interfacing with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, properly communicating challenges, updates and scope changes on regular intervals.

Key Responsibilities
Manage data pipeline into the Genospace platform
- Extract data from primary sources reliably
- Transform and harmonize data appropriately based on specific data context
- Monitor and identify issues with data pipeline, including diagnosing, fixing, or escalating issues where needed.
- Work closely with the product development team on the definition, testing, and evaluation of new products and features
- Develop expertise in clinical, genomic or other subject matter as relevant to the building of data registries within the Genospace platform
- Interface with key customers and stakeholders to provide training, gather feedback and ensure success of data deliverables to the end user.
- Participate in regular team meetings and collaborations, supporting the growth of colleagues and knowledge transfer across the organization
Minimum Requirement

Education

Critical Skills
- Working knowledge of genomics including tools, technologies, and data resources
- Understanding of data transformation operations such as string operations, numerical scaling, terminology mappings, etc.
- Knowledge of one high level scripting or programming language
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Solid understanding of the biomedical domain with an emphasis on fields related to precision
- medicine including molecular biology, genetics, cancer biology, medical terminologies and coding systems, biomedical ontologies
- Strong analytical and technical skills with ability to analyze issues, assess technical risks, and recommend sound solutions in a timely manner
- Works independently with general supervision and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
- Exercises judgment in selecting and adapting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Possesses interpersonal skills to work in a high profile and fast paced team.
