Bold thinking leads to transformative change. The world needs big ideas to solve our climate, affordability and equity crises. That’s where you come in. Align your career with greater purpose at McKinstry.

McKinstry stands committed to Action for Impact. We are compelled to act by our vision, mission and values and stand ready to lead by example. We will successfully innovate the waste and climate harm out of the built environment. But we cannot do it alone. That’s where you come in.

The Missing Piece

McKinstry cannot succeed without you. We are currently seeking an Educational Partnerships Program Manager to support McKinstry’s educational partnerships and relationships in the kindergarten through post-secondary pipeline. McKinstry has built an aspirational plan to addressing the equity crisis, serve under-resourced and historically marginalized young people, drive diversity in the industry, and address the educational gap for young people. This position can sit in any location in which McKinstry operates, with a strong preference in Seattle, Spokane, or Denver. If you think creatively, effectively execute project and are self-motivated then this may be the role for you.

In this role, you’ll streamline educational programming and align activities with schools, universities, and post-secondary programs to our Action for Impact plan, particularly related to equity and climate. Your goal will be to ensure our educational partnerships and commitments are organized, efficient, aligned, well-managed, and easy to understand internally and externally. You’ll help inspire our people to engage in these programs and initiatives throughout all our locations.

Experience preferences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Communications, Organizational Leadership, Social Justice (or similar) or equivalent work experience required.

  • 4 years of relevant project/program management experience including engaging stakeholders, facilitating work plans, and managing programs or projects required.

  • Knowledge of best practices related to educational institutions required; professional experience in both the educational and private sector preferred.

  • Ability to partner with external stakeholders and manage relationships with complex educational organizations – including colleges and universities – required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Skill with off-the-shelf analytical tools and software (e.g., Office 365, Excel, Word, PowerBI, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint) required.

The McKinstry Action for Impact Promise

McKinstry is a passionate group of problem solvers. We cannot stand idly by in the wake of the climate, affordability and equity crises. We’re taking deliberate and bold action because we’ve seen firsthand how these initiatives benefit our people, our clients and our communities.

  • We are relentlessly committed to eliminating our carbon footprint. By 2025, we will reduce our net-greenhouse gas emissions by 50% and will reach net-zero emissions by 2030. This commitment will drive our external efforts to usher our clients and communities to similar outcomes.

  • Buildings cost too much to design, build and operate. This undeniable truth wastes money that could otherwise be invested in decarbonizing our built environment and accelerating construction on the buildings our communities need to serve each and every one of us.

  • Diversity, equity and inclusion aren’t an empty promise at McKinstry. Every step forward in this effort improves our collective success. More importantly, it provides safety for our employees to be their authentic selves each and every day with belonging and unquestioning acceptance.
