What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analyst, Inventory Value position at McLane Company, Inc?
Salary Range: $48,000 - $65,000
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday Hybrid
Position Summary: Primary responsibly will be to provide reporting, analysis and direction regarding the financial impacts of KINEXO's inventory position; affected by cost and pricing changes. This individual will interact and collaborate with various KINEXO teammates across numerous departments and levels of KINEXO leadership. In addition, this person will key in the championing and development of continuous improvement projects related to KINEXO's inventory cost and pricing change activities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Inventory Margin Analysis on Cost and Pricing Changes
- Review the financial impact on cost and pricing changes based on existing and incoming inventories
- Provide support to National Account Management team to determine the expected net impact based on current and forecasted demand; then provide guidance on how to maximize or minimize the impact appropriately
- Improve / Develop Reports for Visibility and Key Business Decisions based on Inventory Value
- Provide periodic reporting to Senior Leadership of P&L impact by cost /pricing adjustments
- Provide reports and direction to Purchasing to help guide purchasing decisions to maximize or minimize inventory value impact based on cost / pricing changes
- Price Blending
- Monitor inbound COGS with inventory levels to create weighted average pricing for customers
- Monitor the impact of the weighted average pricing based on actual sales versus forecasted sales to neutralize any gains or loses
Essential Skills and Experience
- Have a bachelor's degree in finance/Accounting/Supply Chain/ Business field desired.
- Analytical thinker with excellent math skills
- Working knowledge of Excel is required.
- Be detail-oriented, self-motivated and organized.
- Have sound judgment and follow through since actions could have significant financial impact.
- Have excellent process improvement skills.
- Have good communication, time management and inter-personal skills.
- Be an independent thinker and find sound resolutions to daily issues that arise.
