ABOUT THE JOB:
As part of our Foodservice headquarters team, the Logistics Analyst I ensures that existing carriers are managing awarded lanes and securing logistics options to reduce and control costs. They work on continuous process improvement strategies for lane conversion and analysis and identify strategies to improve performance.
Negotiate directly with carriers directly on matters related to spot shipments, claims, and accessorial charges.
Provide specific feedback to Vantix management related to service reporting and inbound freight margin loss.
Investigate and resolve all matters related to carrier accessorial charges.
Work with Logistics Systems Analyst with training new carriers with compliance to systems needs.
Take ownership of several reports - monthly and quarterly (carrier decline, on time, low margin, L14, L16); continuously hone reports and processes.
Spot market growth and cost reduction.
This position has additional duties; special projects may be assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Transportation or Logistics -OR- commensurate experience in a logistics environment.
3 years experience in a logistics or operations environment.
Understand business logistics and supply chain management, including transportation, distribution, and customer service.
Candidates may be subject to a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.
