What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aftercare Lead (3:20 Club) position at McLean School?
McLean School, a K-12 co-educational independent school in Potomac, Maryland, seeks applicants for a part-time (15 hours a week) Aftercare Lead for our 3:20 Club Program to begin September 2023. McLean School has for almost 70 years been helping bright students, including those with dyslexia, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, and anxiety, realize their full potential by providing a comprehensive college preparatory program that emphasizes small classes and differentiated instruction. Through our Abilities Model®, we recognize and teach to individual strengths, responding to areas of challenge, but never defining students by them.
The Aftercare Lead will coordinate daily programming for our K-4 students that will keep them engaged and enriched from 3:00-6:00 pm. Under the direction of the Associate Director of Auxiliary Programs, the Aftercare Lead will be responsible for implementing and maintaining programming, monitoring students’ activities, and ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
We welcome candidates with 3-5 years of experience who have an energetic attitude and are committed to student-centered pedagogy, differentiated instruction, and multi-sensory learning. They will subscribe to McLean School’s Core Values, our Mission, and our philosophy, and will seek passionately to uphold and promote them.
