What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Flooring Sales Associate position at McLeod Carpet One?
We are hiring a Retail Sales Associate to assist clients with their flooring selection. A passion for design is a plus. Experience in the flooring industry is preferred, but not required. This position is 41 hours per week: 5-day work week includes Saturdays with one day off during the week.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with making product choices according to their individual needs, explaining features and benefits of various types of flooring
- Manage the relationship from initial contact with customer to successful installation and completion of project
- Help customers with their choices through decorating and design advice
- Build client relationships and providing outstanding customer service
- Follow up in a timely and professional manner with customers on all estimates and requests
- Conduct in-home measures to advise on product and provide accurate estimates to clients
- Use computer systems to research availability of merchandise and to process orders
- Maintain showroom by keeping samples and displays current, neat and clean
- Create new business through relationship building and networking within the community
Qualifications

- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
