In our time of Company growth, we are seeking an Operating Room Nurse.
Work Location: Bradenton, FL
As part of this role, you will:
- Performs comprehensive assessment of patient's clinical condition and psycho-social needs inclusive of caregiver needs during the perioperative period
- Observes behavioral and physiologic changes due to medications; takes appropriate action and documents
- Demonstrates knowledge of drugs, actions, and side effects of medications administered.
- Protects patient's right to privacy
- Provides patient with explanations and verbal reassurances as appropriate
- Communicates clearly and concisely, assessment and reassessment of the patient in charting and with notification of surgeon and/or anesthesiologist as necessary; collaborates with all other health-care personnel and physicians in the delivery of coordinated patient care
- Provide patient with explanations and verbal reassurances as appropriate
- Assesses patient's physical and emotional response(s) to treatment(s); observes behavioral and physiologic changes due to medications, takes appropriate action, and documents interventions and response to interventions
What you need to bring to this role:
- State-approved Registered Nurse (RN) required
- Certification as an Operating Room Nurse (CNOR) preferred
- 3-5 years of experience as a nurse providing perioperative care preferred
- Previous experience in Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, or Invasive Vascular experience preferred
- Exceptional knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment, as well as sterile techniques preferred
- Proficiency in recordkeeping and patient management systems, such as eHospital and PatientTrak preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required
- Current CPR Certification required
