Kennedy Valve Co. is a gray and ductile iron foundry and computerized machining and assembly operation. We supply fire hydrants and valves to the water works and fire suppression industries. We have been manufacturing these products in Elmira, New York, for over 125 years.

Responsibilities:
SUMMARY
Develops, implements, and maintains procedures and programs to minimize environmental risks and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and guidelines by performing the below mentioned duties at the Kennedy Valve facility. Successful performance of these job duties is imperative to the success of the Company's goals and objectives.
JOB DUTIES
- Leads day-to-day operations and staff.
- Collaborate with production management on opportunities to reduce environmental footprint, align initiatives with needs of production, and direct implementation of corporate principles and values.
- Follow company EMS.
- Community leadership engagement with County officials.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- BS degree required, Environmental Engineering or similar path preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Environmental profession or a Certified Hazardous Material Manager within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, strong in Excel.
