Responsibilities
Summary : Analyzes proposals and other documentation to prepare all Poles project quotes for customers. Prepares written responses to customer RFQ packets and develops sales orders for all new projects awarded.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned. This position is a full time (minimum 40 hours per week) on-site position.
- Creates accurate quotes and cost estimates ensuring all customer requirements are met.
- Entering Sales Orders & Verifying all information is correct (Quantities, Items, Pricing, Ship to address, Sales Tax, FOB).
- Entering new Purchase Orders as they come in & verifying the quote and purchase order match (quantities, items, pricing etc)
- Creating new items in MAS as needed for Sales Orders
- Assist with updating and keeping of accurate pricing for all products.
- Preparing Invoice Requests for Reps & Customers.
- Completes Sales Orders and truck schedules for all new orders received.
- Reading and interpreting engineering specification for projects.
- Works with customers face-to-face and on the phone.
- Keeps supervisor informed of problems as they arise.
- Monthly inventories
- Help others obtain information when they need (sales, credit, accounting, production)
- Write up and send out OFI, CM & DMs when necessary.
Supervisory Responsibilities : This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Competencies : To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies :
- Working knowledge and experience with order entry systems
- Experience in dealing with customers in a previous customer service role.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems.
Qualifications
Qualifications : Qualified people will have a high school diploma preferably with college courses taken and possible business degree.
A minimum of two years quote and order entry experience in a fast-paced
environment that involved communication with both external and internal customers via in-person, phone, email, and fax is required.
Ability to work well with others, have a positive attitude, and always looking for a better way of doing things is needed.
Education and / or Experience : High school diploma required; some college course work or degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years customer service experience.
