Responsibilities: Cost effective decision-making regarding operations including utilization and application of resources. (i.e., human resources, patient care environment, supplies, etc.) Directing and supervising professional and non-professional staff. Determining staff assignment and scheduling. Assuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Participating in the development of patient care standards and delivery of care processes. Facilitating and participating in staff development, including orientation and training. Participating in performance evaluation and management including verbal coaching and counseling. Participating in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the quality improvement and safety plan. Maintaining a clinical environment that demonstrates service excellence. Functioning as a professional role model and resource person. The authority to exercise these responsibilities often requires the use of independent judgment. The NIC supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health. What you will need Required: Baccalaureate degree in nursing required. Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse. BLS certification (American Heart Association) Department specific specialty certification required within six months of start of position.
