Billing Manager

Medical Laboratory located in La Verne, California is seeking a Billing Manager responsible for leading and planning the billing operations. Also responsible for enforcing and streamlining billing policies and procedures.

​Essential Duties and Re​sponsibilities:

• Assistr in implementing the day-to-day functions of the Billing department
• Oversee and streamline billing processes
• Implement written billing policies and procedures
• Post and review payments received to appropriate patient's account.
• Conduct routine staff meetings regarding billing planning and implementations
• Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished
• Assist in preparing billing reports as directed
• Monitor delinquent accounts and take corrective action to bring account(s) to current status

• Assist in preparing monthly billing statements and make sure billing processes are completed in timely manner.
• Oversee data entry on all patient charges and refunds
• Responsible for computer billings, mailing, and recording
• Responsible for completing all Medicare billing forms and back-up information
• Maintain proper staffing in billing department at all times.
• Ensures that all billing practices comply with governmental rules and regulations.
• Manages the investigation and resolution of billing discrepancies and errors.
• Manages subordinate staff on a daily basis
• Ensures that project and department milestones and goals are met.
• Must have extensive knowledge of all billing functions and department processes.

Educational Requirements

• College degree in business management/ healthcare / billing & coding preferred or combination of these along with billing supervisory experience.

Ex​​perience

• Must have, as a minimum of five (5) years experience in Medicare/Medicaid/Medical billing
• Experience in clinical lab setting preferred
• Must have minimum of five years supervisory or managerial experience in billing department setting, preferably in clinical lab setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,935.00 - $67,045.00 per year
