Senior Proposal Writer/Editor

SUMMARY

ME&A is searching for a full-time experienced Senior Proposal Writer/Editor to support and work closely with the Proposal Development Team and the Monitoring and Evaluation Team, to oversee ME&A's proposal activities, manage schedules and deadlines, proposal outline and content, and any other monitoring need for a successful proposal submission. The position requires an experience writing and responding to a solicitation and familiar with government agencies', specifically USAID's, terms, regulations and languages. The successful candidate must be able to interact and coordinate with a diverse workforce.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop a comprehensive plan with the Proposal Development and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) teams to manage and track proposal activities up to its completion/submission
• Write responses to Federal Government's task order IDIQs, RFPs, RFQs, and similar contract vehicle as needed
• Review/write proposal sections and create a strategy to adequately address the requirements of a proposal
• Research responses to content requirement if not readily available
• Assist Business Development in responding to business opportunities by marketing ME&A's capability to respond to proposal requirements
• Support final proposal production as needed
• Ensures technical documentation is accurate, complete, and meets editorial and government specifications and standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style
• Review/edit other corporate documents as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Communication, English or other related fields
• Minimum 5 years' experience writing and editing Federal Government proposals and marketing materials
• Experience writing reports, briefs, and similar content
• Experience implementing Knowledge Management and Communication strategies
• Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) process
• International development experience and second language a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and on multiple documents
• Highly organized, proactive, and collaborative
• Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
