Responsibilities
Our Food & Beverage Business Unit has a full-time opening for an experienced CAD/BIM professional to lead our National Food & Beverage CAD/BIM design team. Responsibilities include supervising the team to ensure efficient and effective completion of CAD/BIM work; verifying compliance with Client/Company/Business Unit policies and procedures; assist with project budget creation/review/approval for CAD/BIM work; leading QA/QC for technical CAD/BIM work; coordinating staff resources and workload; coordinating with multiple engineering and design disciplines; oversee and support preparing models and plans for Food & Beverage manufacturing facilities for the following disciplines: Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Telecomm/Technology and Process; reviewing and approving staff timesheets and expense reports; providing guidance related to staff performance reviews, training requests, and conference attendance; mentoring staff and providing avenues for professional development; Some travel will be required.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a combination of education and/or experience totaling a minimum of seven years of relevant experience. Any of the following is acceptable: bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field plus 3 years of experience; associate degree in engineering, technology, CAD technology, or related field plus 5 years of experience; OR, no degree plus 7 years of experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience with ALL of the following:
- Autodesk AutoCAD & Revit
- Bluebeam
- Autodesk Navisworks
- Autodesk BIM360
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Supervisor/Mentoring Experience
- CAD/BIM Standards and Implementation
The ideal candidate will have experience with ANY of the following:
- AutoCAD Plant 3D; AutoCAD Fabrication CADmep
- Microsoft Project
- Mechanical System Design – HVAC, Hydronic, Steam, Compressed Gasses
- Electrical System Design – Power Distribution, Lighting Design, Network Architecture
- Process System Design – P&ID’s, Pumping, Blending, Batching, Conveying, Injection Systems
- Structural Design – Foundation and Framing Plans
- Architectural Design – Space Planning, Finish Schedules, Sections and Elevation Views
