Position Summary:
The RN –Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
As a Cardiac, Neuro Tele RN, you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing a plan of care, and implementing and evaluating care. As a member of the interdisciplinary care team, you will work collaboratively with the other members to assure the safe and accurate delivery of care.
This 27 -bed unit and will care for Med /Tele Neuro and Cardiac, Post CAB, MI’s/Chest pain patients.
Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN)
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments on a regular basis
- Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to properly verify, document, and administer medication
- Provide health care teaching to patients and families along with appropriate documentation.
- Evaluate the patient’s progression towards attainment of outcomes, and document the effectiveness of interventions
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN)
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN)
- MUST have a minimum of 2 years, Cardiac, Telemetry acute care, hospital experience.
- Previous experience in telemetry and cardiac experience highly desired.
- Current Registered Nurse License or Compact/Multi-State license, Required.
- BLS (AHA), Required
- ACLS (AHA) Required
- NIHSS Certification must obtain within 30 days. Required to work under NIHSS credentials RN until training certificate obtained.
