California MSK MSO (MSK) is a Management Services Organization (MSO) located in the greater Los Angeles and San Diego areas (Burbank, Glendale and San Diego). MSK performs comprehensive management and billing services for health care providers and medical professionals including ambulatory surgery centers, private medical clinics, individual medical practices, therapy centers, imaging centers, and urgent care centers. MSK is able to provide full or a la carte services based on the needs of their clients. Services include: Human Resource Management, Accounting, Credentialing, Revenue Cycle Management, Payer Contracting, Strategic Planning, Inventory Management, Compliance, Risk Management, and Operations Management. Position Summary:
Under general supervision of the VP of Operations (Leadership Team), the Business Development Specialist will expand our business and improve our branding initiatives. As a Business Development Specialist, your duties will include establishing networks with industry specialists, maintaining valued customer relationships.
Job Responsibilities:
- To provide a single information source for B2B customers and contacts
- To proactively analyze the market, competition, product and market differentiation in order to create profitable growth, opportunities and partnerships
- To define solutions, based upon the needs and strategy of the customer and the market dynamics, in close cooperation with Leadership
- To develop effective working relationships in order to ensure coherence between local marketing strategy.
- To determine, negotiate & close, in collaboration with the Management Team the best value-added commercial contracts and partnerships in order to offer & achieve for the customer and the organization competitive prices & qualitative conditions for assigned product segments.
- Provide accounts with courteous and timely responses to account inquiries and correspondence. Ensure that all administrative matters relative to assigned accounts are handled efficiently and in a timely manner. Provide assistance in assuring that proper channels of communication are maintained between the client company, company employees and internal areas of MSK clients.
- Provide management with information regarding administrative needs of the client as well as trends and problems identified through monitoring of performance.
- Identify research and recommend solutions to various operational problems within areas of own position responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities in compliance with set standards.
- Compile various statistical data on all client companies in collaboration with the Leadership team, and prepare and develop corporate reports on a quarterly and as needed basis.
- Establish and maintain client company profiles for all active as well as inactive accounts within the assigned MKS MSO service area.
- Provide monthly account reports regarding companies contacted, status and needs of the account and any problems, concerns, needs, etc., that are identified.
- Participate in all company special events as directed by the Leadership team.
- Provide support and participate in projects that relate to the promotion, delivery and/or enhancement of the MSK MSO Program as required or directed.
- Provide clerical support in the day to day operations of the MKS Program to facilitate client feedback when necessary.
- Duties require a well-organized individual with detail oriented and analytical skills. Requires superior human relations and communication skills.
- Protect the confidentiality of information within areas of own position responsibilities by preventing unauthorized release, both verbally and/or in writing.
- Promote a continuous quality improvement effort, to enhance the services provided to patients, their families, physicians and members of the MKS staff by demonstrating positive attitudes and positive actions through a display of courtesy, congeniality, cooperation, sensitivity, and professionalism.
- Forecast: Provide the data to prepare, update, and control forecasts covering projected new-business sales, contracts, proposal activity/costs, and retention of existing clients.
- Marketing and business planning: Develops marketing plans, business plans, sales strategies, and action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define objectives, goals, win strategies, schedules, and action assignments.
- Proposal management: Initiate, lead, and direct regional new-business proposal and proposal efforts.
- Is responsible for written policies and procedures for marketing/sales operations.
- Increase sales volume through direct-sales efforts.
- Coordinate with other departments in working toward common goals of the MKS Family.
- Coordinate with other departments to develop and implement an ongoing marketing effort.

- Physical Requirements:
- Up to 40% on the computer
- Lifting requirement is normally less than 20lbs
- Walking throughout the office, no greater than 50 yards, but performed repetitively
- Travel to establish new business in opportunities in Southern California and maintain and grow current business relationships
- Moderate to Heavy phone usage
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and/or Business Development, Marketing, or Similar studies preferred
