What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer - Bay City position at MEDfarms?
The General Laborer position is primarily responsible for packaging the company product for delivery to the dispensaries, ensuring product is made correctly and following all compliance guidelines for handling products. This candidate must adhere to all SOPs and follow directions in order to maintain consistent product quality guidelines. The general labor candidate must be able to complete repetitive tasks at a fast-pace without error and be compliant with OSHA and state regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Spends majority of time in packaging functions, printing labels, applying stickers, production, etc.
- Portion and weigh products for packaging.
- Assists manager to ensure there is adequate inventory and par levels packaged each shift/day.
- Makes sure product tamper proof labels are correctly placed on each product.
- Tasks include jobs like sorting, counting, and packaging products to prepare them for resale.
- Executing recipes and procedures.
- Waste disposal.
- Operation and sanitation of production equipment.
- Perform cleaning tasks at the start of the day, throughout the day as needed and at each production days end.
- Maintain a positive, collaborative, and respectful attitude in all tasks and interactions with coworkers and management.
- Maintain and protect the integrity of all proprietary company Intellectual Property, including but not limited to: ingredients, methods, recipes, equipment and all other internal company information, ideas and discussions.
- Maintain relevant training as new products are introduced.
- Other duties as assigned.
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Must be 21 year of age or older.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Experience in the cannabis industry preferred.
- Topical production/Kitchen experience.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Experienced in completing repetitive tasks at fast pace.
- Excellent mathematical, language and reasoning skills.
- Team Player
- Must be ServSafe Certified
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
