Reporting to an Executive Producer, the Producer partners with all disciplines to bring ideas to life while ensuring creative excellence and brand integrity. This person will support the production leadership team with the overall flow of production from testing through flawless execution including: concept ball-parking, estimating, bidding, pre-pro meetings, casting, shooting, recording, editing, music, optical, color, effects, versioning, delivery and final client approval. This person will work across a diverse range of projects from broadcast production shoots to social media campaigns, and experiential/live events.
This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about the intersection of entertainment, culture, and social media. This person is organized, has detailed focus and is willing to do whatever it takes to make great work. They should be able to see the big picture and ask the right questions to ensure that the quality of execution is up to brand standards. The Producer should begin to hone leadership skills and have a collaborative approach across all departments (account, creative, strategy, finance and business affairs). It is important that they understand the importance of mentoring younger producers and take the time to help them learn, grow and contribute.
Responsibilities:
- Autonomously lead world class caliber productions with excellence in creativity, collaboration, globally inclusive, fiscally responsible, secure productions.
- Direct the work flow and control the approved budget through all phases of production.
- Act as the main point person with creatives while on production, exhibits a confident and collaborative relationship with the greater team.
- Work with account teams to manage fiscals/timing including issues with quarter splits.
- Evaluate creative ideas to determine feasibility, costs, timing and best route to execution excellence.
- Own bid review/approval process with Director of Production, Finance, and EP’s.
- Work closely with music team through productions and business affairs on all legal/licensing/and talent matters related to production.
- Develop & manage relationships with vendors, constantly staying abreast of great work/talent around the world.
- Lead creative vendor searches and collaborates with EP’s/GDoP on final decisions.
- Facilitate and manage cost plus wrap process, communicating issues, comments and adjustments with production company/Media Arts Lab.
- Complete all necessary paperwork throughout production.
- Responsible for finalizing wrap docs and spot credits and gaining EP/GDoCP approvals before following paperwork processes.
- Ensures master storage and final uploads and completion reports to Pipeline.
- Pass production knowledge onto & also learn from other production disciplines including digital, art, print & business affairs.
- Interface with Client and partners directly when needed.
- Responsible for mentoring junior assistants.
Requirements:
- Broadcast production experience – ad agency experience is a plus.
- Experience and interest in high-volume post-production work.
- Passionate and knowledgeable about social media production.
- Experience working on entertainment brands and producing experiential projects is a plus.
- Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experienced in “off shore” productions.
- Must be able to meet deliverables and maintain production budgets and resources.
- Remains calm under pressure with the ability to see the big picture while focusing on granular details.
- Strong ability to multi-task, manage a team and remain calm under pressure.
- Must be organized, efficient and quick thinking.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, a keen sense of time management, the ability to exhibit group leadership skills, and a collaborative approach across all departments.
- Fluency in production-related tools such as AX, Excel, Keynote, etc.
