Now, about the opportunity: In the the Art Director position, you'll be concepting big ideas with other creatives, knows how to design for both digital and print, is comfortable working directly with clients, has an acute attention to detail, and is passionate about innovative design.
The ideal candidate is a go-getter who jumps on new opportunities, designs with pixel perfect precision, and is a team player. This is a fast-paced work environment, so attentiveness and the ability to handle multiple projects with ease are a must. Your time will be spent at our headquarters in the heart of San Francisco, with frequent visits to our clients just a short walk away.
Your time will be spent working remotely until the local office in your area is open again. At that time you will have the opportunity to spend time in the office as well.
In this role you will:
- Produce high-quality visual designs, from concept to execution, for digital campaigns, microsites, landing pages, social media, presentations, video, animation, and more
- Communicate effectively in a cross-functional team, presenting ideas and designs
- Work directly with the client
- Maintain consistent creative quality and become a brand expert
- Be a standard-bearer for our culture and values
Experience you already have:
- A solid online portfolio of digital work—print work is a plus
- 3-5 years experience working at an agency or in-house
- Thorough understanding and competency with digital design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch) for diverse formats (email, web, video, etc.)—Sketch skills are a must
- Experience with both B2B and B2C marketing is a plus
- Illustration and storyboarding skills are helpful
- Experience designing social media ads/banners
- Solid understanding of typography and layout
- Solid comprehension of UX/UI principles and their applications across the web, apps, email and beyond
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Ability to work through multiple iterations and to work quickly
- Ability to work independently, but also be an excellent collaborator with the team
- Ability to work within brand style guides to produce work that is both original and on brand
- Impeccable communication skills
