What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Manager position at Media.Monks?
Now, about the opportunity: In this newly created position of Procurement Manager, you'll be responsible for the procurement of mainly the Business Services category, with a strong focus on IT hardware and software (all SaaS solutions). This is a role where you’ll partner with business teams, IT & Support, Finance, Legal, Facilities and Operations. This role leads both local US initiatives as well as regional initiatives for NAMER. You will also be asked to lead or support global projects, in close collaboration with the Global Procurement team, based in The Netherlands.

In this role you will:
- Set up and implement the sourcing strategy for the Business Services category for NAMER, in line with the Global Sourcing Strategy
- Negotiate with potential and preferred suppliers in the Business Services category: pricing, complex MSAs w/Legal, volume rebates, payment schedules etc.
- Work effectively together with different teams and stakeholders, including the business, IT & Support, Finance, Legal, Facility and Operations
- Work independently and always think along so that Monks have everything they need, even if they didn’t ask for it
Experience you already have:
- 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in Procurement of the Business Services category with a main focus on IT hardware, software, telecoms, HR services, Facilities and secondly Travel, Consultancy
- Strong communication and relationship building skills, experienced working with large IT companies and other Business Services suppliers
- You’re a tough and nice negotiator, getting the best deal for any contract
- Global experience, a deep understanding of different commercial models in different markets/regions and benchmarks
- Ideally you have experience working in an international environment
- You are eager to embrace and lead change and have an entrepreneurial mindset
