What are the responsibilities and job description for the Producer position at Media.Monks?

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're on the search for a content producer to join our expanding team. In this role you'll be responsible for leading all aspects of production, including identifying production partners and managing relationships, establishing timelines and determining budgets while reporting into the Executive Producer. The ideal candidate is someone that can bring creative visions to life while elevating the work through close collaboration with agency creatives and client teams. Not only should you have extensive production contacts, but you should be someone that can grow relationships with outside production partners, while ensuring Media.Monks production processes are in place and are having a positive impact on the work. To be successful in this role, you must be able to problem solve in a timely, cost effective manner, be able to juggle a multitude of jobs at any time, and have familiarity with the daily ebb and flow of an agency along with the knowledge of how to best engage with the many alignment teams spread across several offices throughout North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create innovative, and meaningful work - at the highest craft levels
  • Ambassador of the brand promise, assuring that each project tracks to the brief and keeps fit for format at the forefront throughout the process
  • Actively participate in creative work sessions with Agency creative teams, providing production partnership ensuring the project stays within budget and focuses on craft
  • Educate and socialize the ways of working and process between Media.Monks and Agency partners
  • Manage and develop the pre-bid consisting of timeline, ballpark, and potential production partners including directors, editors, colorists, animators, sound designers, etc.
  • Oversee global director search as well as engagement of all post departments
  • Manage director treatment phase, bid process, and bid packages working closely with production and post production executive producers
  • Create estimates in collaboration with production business manager
  • Facilitate all conversations with Production Specialist to assure all approvals are in place
  • Partner with business affairs for talent and asset management
  • Lead shoot and post production, managing Agency and client through approvals
  • Partner with production business manager and finance to onboard new vendors, issue deal memos, and ensure vendor payments have been made
  • Collaborate with account management to ensure project status & health can be shared during weekly team status meetings
  • Complete project wraps with business affairs and finance to prepare for reconciliation
  • Actively participate in the diversity, equity, and inclusion promise for all productions executed - in front of the lens, behind the lens, and within post production talent

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • A production guru able to foresee issues before they arise
  • A skilled, creative, confident presenter and negotiator
  • A sense of humor, outgoing, articulate, well-informed, intelligent, confident, and possessing common sense
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and capable of self-managing and multitasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Able to apply critical and strategic thinking
  • Stress-tolerant, quick-thinking, and accurate
  • Able to quickly understand new technology concepts
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills as a team leader and team player
  • Flexibility, initiative, dedication and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel
