Among other responsibilities, they will support the ServiceNow queue for the team and help update content for our websites, internal platforms (UIT Community and Slack), assist with managing knowledge base articles, and help with accessibility efforts.
Current and Continuing Responsibilities : Manage ServiceNow queue for the team and work with other UIT Communications Team members to assign tickets.
Work on ServiceNow Tickets (Completed more than 50 tickets since February 2024) : Update content on various websites (service pages)Help with writing articles for different teams
Assist with managing Knowledge Base articlesSending out email reminders for expiring articlesUpdating the Drupal system expiring knowledge articles
Monitor Siteimprove Quality assuranceUpdate site to reconcile the issues flagged
Monthly email reminders to managers to encourage them to post Staff HappeningsUpdate UIT homepage banner on a regular basisWednesday shout-out winnerSend out weekly Cardinal Key enforcement emailsSupport UIT Communications team members with other tasksHelp on tickets and small projectsPay invoicesSend out emails on projects (with supervision)
Send out UIT Community communications using Slack Block kit, emails, articlesAssist in project management and process improvement efforts within the UIT Communications teamPotential Responsibilities : Assist OE / IDEAL team setting up RSVPs (currently learning how to do this)Create event pages on the IT Community website for IDEAL IT events (currently learning how to do this)Assist with Siteimprove accessibilityWrite articles independently (currently taking some tickets and shadowing team members to learn)MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.Skills : Experience with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms)Experience with Microsoft suiteFamiliar with TrelloExperience with SlackServiceNowSiteimproveDrupalPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
Frequently stand / walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly / fine manipulation, speaking.Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.
