Description :
The main point of contact between the chefs and the runners. Important skills include : being proactive, organized and a team player.
Strong communication is crucial as well as remaining calm under pressure.
Responsibilities :
See chefs for additional utensils intendedUnderstand the room layout and seat positions for the Guard HouseCheck accuracy of the food items prior to handing them to the runnersReceive food from the cold and hot side cooksAnticipate each order and remain focused throughout shiftTickets should be retrieved from servers and bartenders and placed on ticket holderDispose of all tickets that have been fired and deliveredAt the end of the service, restock supplies, organize, and wipe down stationCheck with the manager before the end of your shiftTrack breakage of china and record on sheet for the Executive StewardSkills and Requirements :
Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and stand for long durations of timeBending and lifting requiredHygiene and grooming are extremely important - come to work with a pressed uniform!Clock in to work no more than 5 minutes prior to each scheduled shiftNo eating anywhere except for the employee cafeteriaCell phones are to be used only on break and always out of sight of the membersNote : The above tasks and any additional duties shall be completed to the satisfaction of the Director of Dining
