Do you want to gain school library experience? Abington Friends School in Jenkintown, PA is offering a chance for you to do just that! Previous interns have gained full-time employment at many different types of libraries.
The ideal candidate for this position is a current student in a master’s degree program in Library or Information Science, with a school library concentration.
Duties may include :
Circulation of materialsShelvingCataloging new itemsDisplay creationAssisting patrons with research and book recommendationsArchival workMaintaining a quiet, inviting space for student work
The library intern will be an integral part of our library staff. There will be opportunities to take on more responsibilities as the school year progresses.
00 an hour, when school is in session. This position will be for the 2024-2025 school year, beginning in September 2024.
