Web Developer Description
Specific Responsibilities:
- Design, code, and modify websites, from layout and according to various department requests.
- Strive to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.
- In-depth understanding of all stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Maintain positive communications and working relationships at all business levels.
- Build and maintain SQL scripts, indexes, and complex queries for data analysis and extraction.
- Ensure best practices are applied and integrity of data is maintained through security, documentation, and change management.
Required skills:
- JavaScript
- Cursory knowledge of query writing and optimization
- Cursory knowledge of Linux OS
- Strong Analytical skills
- Familiarity with Web Services (REST, SOAP)
- Familiarity with source repository management systems
- Well-versed in at least one Content Management System
- CSS, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, E-Commerce, Cross-Browser compatibility, Security Principals, Multimedia Content Development, API’s, PHP, SCSS/SASS
Additional nice to have skills:
- Metasolv Inventory Management and Service Fulfillment Software
- Appian Business Process Management Tools
- Laravel
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors/Associates Degree in a related field (ex: Computer Science, Information Technology) preferred.
- 3 years of experience required.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required.
- Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language to non-technical staff and end users.

- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
