The Responsibilities of an Assembly Technician include, but are not limited to, the following :
After extensive training, you will perform assembly, testing and preparing of packaging systems for delivery to the end user with a strong focus on quality control.
The production and / or testing will encompass all systems offered by MPI; manufactured directly by MPI and value-added reseller or integrated systems.
- You will build subassemblies and complete units from samples, models, verbal instructions and / or assembly diagrams.
- You will monitor inventory to ensure inventory is on hand to satisfy production demand.
Requirements :
Skills, Experience and Requirements - these are the minimum requirements you will need to meet for this position
- Two or more years' experience and aptitude in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields required
- Possess basic electrical, strong mechanical, and quality control skills
- Solder
- Must be very organized, reliable, honest and dependable
- Ability to understand and follow instructions explained verbally; represented on drawings; and in written procedures
- Must have excellent manual dexterity
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Machine shop and metal working skills are a plus, but not required
Education and Training
- High School Diploma or similar required
- Technical Degree or Certification a plus
Work Environment / Physical Demands
This job operates in a Manufacturing and production / assembly environment. This role uses shop equipment, power tools and hand tools.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00am to 4 : 00pm.
Travel
Local travel to perform pick up and deliveries. Valid driver's license is required.
