What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secondary Operator - Medicoil (1st Shift) position at Medicoil?
Job Summary:
The secondary operator under general supervision will be required to set up and operate various equipment and perform associated tasks to produce quality products for our customers in a cost-effective and timely manner.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operate or tend machines to perform secondary operations on coils which may include:
- Trimming, welding, grinding, heat shrinking, washing, pad printing, ect
- In process inspection of parts being produced.
- Shutting down and notifying a supervisor when there is an apparent failure or quality issue
- Stop machines to remove completed components
- Monitors machines for failures and makes proper adjustments.
- Learn to use inspection tools and test equipment
- Completes necessary paperwork and traveler documentation.
- Follow Medicoil workmanship and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Abides by all Medicoil policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Handbook
- Abides by all Medicoil safety standards and requirements
- Alerts the supervisor and/or Quality Control when nonconformance’s are found
- Responsible for understanding and following ISO 13485 standards and continuous improvements as it relates to this position.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to read and follow written work instructions
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Basic tool knowledge
- Preferred manufacturing experience
- Reading and understanding of customer blueprints
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
1st shift:
Monday - Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm
OR
Monday - Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm
