The main purpose of the QC Specialist position is to provide support to the Quality Control department through various job functions.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Salary: $25-$27.40/hour
Responsabilities & duties:
Receiving, Quarantining and Releasing Products
- Chemical bulk receipt processing, inspection and release
- Device bulk receipt processing, inspection and release
- Maintain Quarantine Areas
Calibration and Maintenance
- Maintain calibration and maintenance schedules
- Maintain equipment list
- Schedule calibration and maintenance services
- Monitor environmental conditions throughout location
Quality Events and Document Control
- Perform investigations (Deviations, NCMRs, CAPAs, SCARs)
- Initiate Change Controls
- Quality review of documents
- File and organization of various documentation when assigned
- Support functions of QC Inspectors and assist when requested
Qualifications:
- Minimum Associates/Bachelor’s degree in a Science related field or relevant pharmaceutical experience.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a Quality Control environment
- Excellent communication skills; fluent English (oral & written) required
- Proven decision making and problem solving skills; applies judgment
- Detail oriented is a must
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) required; Syspro/MasterControl an asset
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
