Hospitalist Physician

REQUIREMENTS

• Shall perform diagnosis, care, and treatment of medical inpatients on the general medical ward and ICU (including patients on ventilators and pressors), as well as perform medical consultation for other services including, but not limited to, Ob/gyn, surgery, orthopedics, the emergency department and the Walk-In Primary Care Clinic (WIPCC)
• Shall make preliminary diagnoses and provide treatment, or arrange for specialized care or patient referral as required
• Bases decisions upon information obtained, professional medical knowledge and skills, and prescribed policies and procedures
• Shall consult with fellow hospitalists or providers from other medical disciplines whenever necessary to more clearly define a patient's problem and seek assistance to safely provide the necessary medical interventions
• Shall address the patient's goals of care as appropriate

Qualifications

• The Contractor shall have documentation of a successful completion of a residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Experience of twenty-four (24) months
• Hospitalist experience (upper and lower)
• All providers shall possess a current, valid, active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States, throughout the term of this contract
• All Providers shall possess a current, valid, unrestricted driver's license in any state
• Motor Vehicle Operator license
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory for all hospitalists

Pay: $75.00 - $100.00 per hour

• Gallup, NM: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

• Hospitalist: 1 year (Preferred)
• Internal Medicine: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• ACLS Certification (Preferred)
