Essential Job Functions
Verify patient information on prescription is complete and accurate
Enter patient and prescription into pharmacy software system, prepares prescription, labels container, price and file the prescription to be checked by the pharmacist before it is shipped to the patient
Process new patient enrollment forms, including requesting prescriptions from prescribers
Obtain updated payment information from patients
Coordinate the scheduling of patient medication delivery
Prepare and file insurance claims
Complete the sale, packages, and ships medication orders
Stock and inventory prescription medication and pharmacy supplies
Position Requirements
Must be registered with the state and certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. Must also be in good standing with the state board and the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
Strong customer service and teamwork skills
Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time within limited space
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Work Hours
This position will be based at corporate in Dubuque, IA.
Part Time – Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm (30 min unpaid lunch)
