What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Services Representative position at Meduit?
The Client Services Representative serves as a liaison between our clients and the call center staff. They provide supportive positive services both internally and externally to resolve issues. Provide administrative support and processing for call center staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research and retrieve information from clients, insurance companies or debtors needed to facilitate payment.
- Data entry regarding response and status of information requested including posting adjustments and making insurance discount adjustments per the most recent Explanation of Benefits on file.
- Prepares and researches payment requests including settlement offers with patients and attorneys.
- Respond to and document all voice mails within 24 hours including email from both Meduit and client.
- Complete return mail daily
- Provides answers to customer inquiries on balance, cancelled accounts, holds, disputes, coding issues including DX coding. Follows up with patient physicians to obtain any coding corrections needed.
- VPN access to check for payment status for client. Review non-comp payments to be sure that invoicing to client is as accurate as possible.
- Files insurance for EBO, Bad Debt and Insurance Follow up in client system except for Medicare, Medicaid, VA, Tricare and Champ VA as per client request. Files appeals if needed and works denials.
- Requests statements per patient request and print/mail detailed itemized billing if requested.
- Answering questions from collectors, patients and co-workers to best of her/his knowledge.
- Complete the current three work Q’s assigned by client. There will be two additional work Q’s as soon as IT can complete the process. The new work Q’s will consist of the billing indicators that I have to keep updated.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

-HS Diploma/GED Required
-Knowledge of HIPAA, Medicaid, Medicare, Insurance and FDCPA is a plus
