What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Account Rep position at Meduit?
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
- Handle daily out-bound and in-bound calls, on behalf of the client’s behalf to set up payment arrangements.
- Counsel individuals on their financial situations utilizing customer service, communication and influencing skills to coordinate a solution for the client and consumer.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures and understand the company handbook.
- Remain knowledgeable of and comply with all federal and state laws regulating debt collection, ethical guidelines and standards established by Meduit, and guidelines and rules of telephone etiquette.
- Identify and understand consumer needs and wants then to utilize that information to arrange payments.
- Proactively resolve all consumer accounts in a professional and courteous manner.
- Utilizes tools, including computer programs, when indicated: FACS System, Excel/Word
- Provides excellent customer service and timely response to consumer questions and issues.
- Return all voicemails within a timely period (Within 24 hours)
- Work as a team player to meet both personal and group Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements and Responsibilities
- Multi-tasking – possess the ability to talk and type at the same time while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Some legal process knowledge is helpful.
- Strong verbal communication skills to overcome objections and find opportunities to help patients resolve their outstanding balances.
- An inquisitive nature to uncover information that is not always obvious.
- Comfortable with computers and consider themselves to be a fast learner.
- Attention to detail for accurate information reporting into the database computer software system for further use in the recovery process.
- Must pass with a minimum of 85% the FDCPA tutorial as dictated by federal collection laws (yearly testing required)
