Through this relentless commitment and dedication, MedVet is growing a network of emergency and specialty hospitals for pets, with 30 facilities across the country where we deliver exceptional care and preserve the integrity of the profession. Our team consists of nearly over 2700 team members helping to advance our mission of Leading Specialty Healthcare for Pets. Through this effort, we have been able to help and serve nearly 200,000 pets and their families, and more than 5,400 Referral Partners each year.
This position requires a curious, self-driven, multifaceted individual with proven experience, strong technical design skills, effective interpersonal skills, project management and planning capabilities, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Creates and develops the overall layout and production design for advertisements, brochures, direct mailers, event collateral, infographics, and other materials, digital and/or print.
- Assembles disparate elements of a design created by another professional into a cohesive design and/or campaign.
- Consults with members of the Experience, Human Resources, Marketing, and Talent Acquisition teams to create cohesive designs reflecting our brand identity, corporate culture, mission, values, and vision.
- Maintains close attention to detail and relentless commitment to quality through effective facilitation of proofing and approval prior to printing or publishing.
- Serves as the liaison to print vendors.
- Designs efficiently and manages project dollars responsibly.
- Maintains knowledge of design trends and tools to ensure materials remain contemporary and appropriate for the audience.
Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years’ experience in graphic design. Experience in the healthcare and/or veterinary industry is a plus but not required.
In addition, this position requires:
- Four-year degree in fine art, design, marketing or related discipline. Advanced degree a plus.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, assist on multiple projects, and prioritize appropriately.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to develop a strong working knowledge of the veterinary industry.
- Extensive experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud, notably InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with mass communication tools templates, such as Constant Contact and HubSpot.
- Adaptive design eye and skill.
- Appreciation for a clean aesthetic and grid.
- Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and colleagues.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of digital photography.
- Ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization.
- Highly professional, strong work ethic, self-direction, and integrity.
