The Facilities HVAC Technician II will perform duties for Medxcel throughout the assigned working location of Ministry Mercy Medical Center- Oshkosh,WI. The Facilities HVAC Technician II installs, operates and maintains the organization’s heating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The Facilities HVAC Technician II is responsible for identifying repair and/or replacement needs, then completing installations and repairs. This position also conducts preventative maintenance and upgrades for HVAC systems and equipment. The Facilities HVAC Technician II assists associates within and outside of their trade.

Responsibilities
Maintaining HVAC Systems:
- Installs, inspects, maintains, repairs and performs preventative maintenance on all heating, air conditioning, ice making, refrigeration, and ventilation systems
- Maintains and applies current knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, chilled and hot water reheat systems and Pressure Reducing Value (PRV) operation
- Inspects HVAC systems and their components (e.g. heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance
- Prepares the preventative maintenance schedule and produces monthly reports
- Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
- Identifies and recommends long-term needs and strategies for HVAC systems and components resulting in cost savings
- Maintains knowledge of,and develops departmental equipment procedures for,power outages
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
- Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with building and safety regulations
- Maintains vehicle, tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition
- May coordinate, maintain and repair all energy management systems
- May travel to multiple sites to perform functions of the role
Qualifications
- Required:
- EPA Certification (level ll preferred)
- And one or more of the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of trade school
- 3 years’ relevant experience
- Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience
