Summary: The Accounts Payable/Receptionist performs accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. This position works collaboratively with the accounting team and performs other duties as required to support the accounting department. Schedule is Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process and accurately code vendor invoices and daily dealer payments.
  • Reconcile Accounts Payable statements to keep invoices current.
  • Process Accounts Payable payments weekly via check runs.
  • Prepare monthly Federal and State motor fuel tax refund filings.
  • Maintain 1099 information and processing.
  • Perform Accounts Payable filing as defined by internal control processes.
  • Process daily Convenience Store paperwork.
  • Prepare monthly Convenience Store accounting packet.
  • Process invoices for carwash customers.
  • Prepare and send all customer statements, including but not limited to fuel, house charges, etc.
  • Send market price updates multiple times per day.
  • Handle customer walk-in, phone calls, and email requests and serve as receptionist.
  • Backup for other accounting team members as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 or more years of experience in Accounts Payable preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures is required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Outlook) is required.
  • Previous experience with accounting software is preferred.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments at the same time.
  • Ability to multi task with interruptions.
  • Reliable attendance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
