Job Summary:
The Purchasing Specialist role at Mega MC is a pivotal position in our car sales and procurement operations. Specialists are responsible for efficiently sourcing and negotiating vehicle purchases, managing documentation, and providing comprehensive updates to the Branch Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing, Negotiation, and Documentation Support:
- Identify potential vehicles for purchase and assess their suitability.
- Negotiate prices skillfully with sellers to secure cost-effective deals.
- Collaborate with the sales team to facilitate the car sales process.
- Monitor the car market, reviewing offers, analyzing prices, and assessing the quality of cars offered for rent.
- Assist in collecting and organizing essential transaction documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Car Delivery and Acceptance:
- Select transport companies and oversee the delivery process, documenting the entire process.
- Verify the compliance of cars with declared characteristics, inspect for damage, and complete necessary documentation.
- Reporting and Insights:
- Provide consistent and detailed updates to the Branch Manager on buying and selling activities.
- Share insights on market trends and opportunities for cost savings or revenue generation.
- Price Optimization:
- Utilize exceptional negotiation skills to obtain the most favorable prices for purchased vehicles, maximizing company profitability.
- Market Monitoring and Selection:
- Study offers, analyze prices, and evaluate the quality of cars offered for rent.
- Determine optimal models, brands, and conditions of cars for rental.
- Contracts and Registration:
- Negotiate terms of delivery and payment, signing contracts with suppliers.
- Register necessary documents for car delivery and receipt.
- Register cars in the traffic police, including payment of state duties, obtaining registration numbers, and documents.
- Maintenance and Insurance:
- Organize maintenance and repair of cars, engage reliable car services, ensure quality work, and address issues promptly.
- Select insurance companies, register insurance policies, and handle insurance claims.
- Dealers and Fleet Management:
- Collaborate with dealers, exchange information about new products and promotions, and receive favorable offers for car purchases.
- Manage the company's fleet, ensuring availability and condition of vehicles, planning purchases and replacements, and optimizing maintenance costs.
- Analysis and Improvement:
- Analyze the effectiveness of working with suppliers, assess work quality, identify causes of potential problems, and develop measures to improve cooperation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (2 years) in car buying and selling, with a strong track record of successful negotiations.
- Outstanding negotiation skills, demonstrated through a history of securing advantageous deals.
- Strong organizational and documentation management abilities.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements associated with automotive transactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and results-oriented with a focus on achieving objectives.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during customer interactions.
- Capability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds if and when necessary.
