MegaFood is looking for a People Team (Human Resources) collaborator to join our team. In this role, you will have responsibility for coordination of People Team activities across functional areas. You will have the opportunity to use your expertise to continually make our team better, so we can better serve our internal customers. You will have a passion for people and culture and the opportunity to expand your knowledge.

ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:

Benefits and Systems Administration: 

  • Responsible for periodic and ad hoc reporting, including headcount, turnover, etc and ensuring accuracy of data maintained in various HR systems
  • Perform a wide variety of record-keeping across various systems and platforms
  • Acts as the primary backup for Benefits and Systems Administrator for all benefits programs (including all group and voluntary health plans, 401k, etc) and HRIS system maintenance
  • Work collaboratively with HR team to support various system implementations

Recruiting Support: 

  • Support the sourcing process by posting positions across platforms and leveraging various sourcing channels to maximize diversity in the applicant pool
  • Conduct candidates screenings and interviews for hourly and selected exempt  positions
  • Conduct reference and background checks
  • In partnership with the People Team director and brand team, build social media presence, employment brand and optimization of the candidates' experience
  • Manage and promote the employee referral program 
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with educational institutions in support of the talent acquisition strategy
  • Manage and coordinate the summer internship program 

 

Performance Feedback: 

  • Coordinates and executes the performance feedback and merit review processes
  • Own the process flow and maintains the performance feedback system
  • Provides support to leaders with system questions and support
  • Makes recommendations for enhancements to the performance feedback process.

Learning and Development: 

  • Supports learning and development initiatives through coordination of training programs 
  • Maintains data in Learning Management System and helps to leverage content to support training needs 
  • Collaborates with the team on D&I initiatives, supports coordination of various programs

HR Administration and Communication: 

  • Maintains key company information on intranet (Organizational charts, contact information, etc.) and provides monthly birthday and anniversary lists as needed
  • Responds to employment verifications, unemployment claims and garnishments in coordination with ADP.
  • Provides regular postings on Google+ communities to share People Team information.
  • Maintenance of employee records 
  • Maintain intranet and employee communication boards with most uptodate policies and legal notices 
  • Support and collaborate on culture and wellness activities and events
  • Ad Hoc Projects as needed  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge and experience to independently perform the essential functions of this role- generally attained through Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related and 2+ years of directly related experience working on a Human Resources team; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of relevant current laws and regulations and an understanding of where to find information when you don’t know it
  • Experience with HRIS (ADP or Workday a plus)
  • Benefits coordination experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Suite programs; advanced experience in software applications a big plus
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills; able to build personal connections with our internal customers. 
  • Process-driven, with an orientation to create and follow sustainable and scalable people team processes 
  • Conscientious and meticulous about maintaining the confidentiality of employee-related information and documentation 
  • Orientation to service above all else; shares knowledge and empowers leaders 
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to help develop and drive a system for document management for the People Team. An effective multi-tasker who can balance multiple requests while maintaining a keen attention to detail and a friendly, positive attitude. 
  • Analytical and innovative problem-solving skills; capability and willingness to challenge the current state and seek to continuously improve People Team process, service, and offerings.
