Summary Statement:
The Production Test Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure product quality standards are met. These tasks may include but are not limited to: inspecting, testing, and calibrating assemblies and finished instruments to meet manufacturers specifications as well as electronic circuit troubleshooting and performing adjustment and repair.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Performance of inspection, test, and calibration of subassemblies and finished products, ensuring conformance with specifications and quality standards.
- Identification of product failure analysis including subassembly and/or component level troubleshooting.
- Performance of assigned activities from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, or other manufacturing information.
- Follow established procedures/work instructions for assigned activities.
- Handle materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Work in a timely manner to ensure customer needs are fulfilled, deadlines are met, and meet expected productivity goals.
- Recommend and Document performance improvements to established procedures/work instructions.
- Maintain expected progress of jobs in area of assignment and communicate problem areas.
- Demonstrate good housekeeping and safety procedure adherence by keeping equipment, tools and work area clean and orderly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skill Sets and Competencies:
- Associate degree (IE, ET, other) or other applicable technical degree (experience may substitute).
- More than three years work experience as a test technician in an electrical product environment.
- Demonstrated Ability to accept training and responsibility for multiple test functions and products.
- Demonstrated Ability reading basic electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Experience in performing electromechanical system and circuit (analog, digital, power supply, and high voltage) troubleshooting & repair at the subassembly and the detailed component level.
- Ability/Willingness to train more junior test technicians within the test discipline.
Additional Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with setting up and using Measurement &Test Equipment (DMMs, O-Scopes, Insulation Testers, Power Supplies, etc.) in the test and calibration of electronic products.
- Average Experience with soldering and the use of hand tools in printed circuit board repair.
- Average Experience with the use of PCs and PC applications.
- Demonstrated Experience working safely with High Voltages, 1kV to 80kV.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
