Bat Boy/Girl

The Memphis Redbirds, Triple A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, and Memphis 901 FC, members of USL Championship, are searching for Bat Boys/Girls to assist the home and visiting clubhouse managers before, during, and after all home games at AutoZone Park. Bat Boys/Girls will work mainly night and weekend hours following the schedule of both the Redbirds and Memphis 901 FC.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Set-up and organize dugout prior to game including bats, helmets, coolers, etc
• Shag balls during BP
• Retrieve bats, balls and other equipment from playing field during games
• Provide umpire with game balls/water when requested
• Break down dugout, along with putting away all equipment used during game
• Cleaning shoes/cleats
• Equipment load-in/load-out
• Sideline setup & breakdown, ball retrieval during Memphis 901 FC matches
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Familiar with the rules of baseball
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as team schedules require
• Willingness to learn with a positive, can-do attitude
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  
  

Physical Demands

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain
• Ability to walk/run
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
